Play With Pearl is a multivendor e-commerce ‘no-compete’ platform exclusively dedicated to feminine beauty, security, lifestyle, etc. products. Here’s the problem: Right now, Fola, a beauty influencer in Lagos, selling hair has to pay 30%
of sales to You-Know-Who and wait several hours-days for withdrawal – thereby stalling her
business. Secondly, she can’t own her customers – even though they’re the reason she sells.
Amidst all these challenges, Fola, a hair vendor, has to compete with the highest-sold shoe
vendor on the platform to sell hair. They’re often buried under algorithms and have no control
over customer relationships, and lack the capital or technical skill to scale independently.
In our uniqueness, our platform offers product category exclusivity to each vendor i.e. Only
Vendor A reserves the right to sell Product X, only Vendor B reserves the right to sell Product Y,
etc. – eliminating competition in a controlled ecosystem.
